Mirabilandia first opened as thematic park, and soon became the second largest in Italy.
In 2004 it enlarged with a water area, called Mirabilandia Beach, as big American parks, which often combine dry with wet entertainment. The big lagoon built by Myrtha Pools over 3.000 sq.m surface! It was awarded with Parksmania Award 2004 as best waterpark. It has, in the middle, a broad castle for children with slides, fountains and other toys. The palms and white sand surrounding the lagoon are fascinating, and give the park a Caribbean scenario.
