Over 5.000 athletes, came from all Africa, competed in 23 sports.Swimming competitions were scheduled from 5th to 10th September, and they all were disputed in 2 temporary Myrtha Pools built inside Zimpeto National Stadium: one 50 x 25 x 2 m competition pool and one 50 x 20 x 1,20 m warm-up pool.
