WFCU Centre (Windsor Family Credit Union Centre) is a multi-purpose entertainment complex in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
The venue opened in 2008 and is located in the eastern area of the city. It includes a hockey arena and a basketball court, annually hosting top-class sports competitions, premium music events and many shows with well known names in the world of arts, culture and entertainment.
Recently the arena has been extended with a new aquatic area completed in the south side of the building.The facility now features 3 pools designed and installed by Myrtha Pools: a 25m warm-up with 6 lanes, a leisure pool with a hydromassage system and a spray pad featuring a beach entry ideal for childrens entertainment.
Thanks to the quick and precise installation, typical of Myrtha technology, the installation has been completed two months in advance of the scheduled date resulting in huge cost savings.
On December 6-11, 2016, WFCU Centre (Windsor Family Credit Union Centre) will be home to the FINA World Swimming Championship (25m). Every race will be held in a 25m Myrtha temporary pool installed in the hockey arena and will be dismantled at the end of the event.
