The swimming pool at the Port Hardy Recreation Centre in Vancouver, Canada, was in danger of being permanently closed due to extensive water leaks from its aging concrete structure.
Stantec, the architect responsible for the original project, opted to rely on the innovation and speed of Myrtha RenovAction technology to provide a solution. This technology was capable of bringing Port Hardy's old pool back to life quickly and in a minimally invasively manner, reducing both expense and environmental and community impact.

The unique RenovAction technology allowed the pool to be renovated without having to completely demolish the existing structure. Updated waterproofing has restored the pool's efficiency, while the modular stainless-steel structure ensures a longer lifespan. Finally, as an upgrade the pool was fitted with a non-slip floor in the shallow end.
The completion of the project, supported by architects Stantec and distributor Myrtha Hollandia Gardens, has given the Port Hardy community a new swimming area ready to serve patrons through a wide variety of uses and activities.
