Myrtha Pools officially established its Brazilian branch in 2017, following the Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro. For this global event, Myrtha Pools delivered 18 swimming pools, contributing to one of the most extensive aquatic programmes ever realised for an Olympic Games.
However, Myrtha’s presence in Brazil dates back much earlier. In 1995, the company built one of its first temporary pools for an international aquatic event, on the occasion of the 2nd FINA World Swimming Championships (25m), held on Copacabana beach. This early project marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship with the country and its aquatic infrastructure.
Over the years, Myrtha Pools has delivered numerous projects across Brazil, ranging from high-performance sports facilities to hospitality and residential developments. Major sporting venues include the Maria Lenk Aquatics Centre and the Novo Parque Aquático do Flamengo, while the hospitality sector features pools and spa facilities for residential developments such as Saint Paul and Saint Leopold.
Today, Myrtha Pools Brasil supports projects throughout the country, combining local expertise with Myrtha’s global know-how to deliver certified, durable and versatile aquatic solutions.
Commercial Director
Haller Freitas joined Myrtha Pools in May 2016, bringing extensive expertise and in-depth knowledge of the aquatic market. He was involved in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, for which Myrtha Pools delivered a total of 18 swimming pools. Over the years, he has contributed to several major projects and large-scale installations across Brazil, including the CPB – Brazilian Paralympic Training Centre, featuring six Myrtha Pools. His experience also includes residential and high-rise developments, such as the Saint Paul and Saint Leopold buildings. In parallel, he has continued to deepen his expertise in new technologies for the construction of competitive, residential, wellness and surfing pools. Today, he serves as Commercial Director, overseeing business development, new projects and installation services in Brazil.
Sales/ International Business Affairs
Izaldete Lima joined Myrtha Pools in October 2022, contributing her academic background in International Relations and her strong expertise in international business, with a focus on industrial and engineering project coordination. With a long-standing passion for water, she transitioned from the stainless-steel sector to the swimming pool industry, combining technical knowledge with international experience. In her role within Sales and International Business Affairs, she supports both technical and commercial activities and coordinates projects for Myrtha Pools Brasil.
