The Sandusky Aquatic Centre, located within the city’s historic school complex in Ohio, underwent a major renovation in 2024.
Originally planned as a new-build, the project gradually shifted towards a re-imagining and augmenting of the existing pool using RenovAction technology, preserving the original structure while delivering significant improvements.
The upgraded pool now features six lanes, a spacious step entry, buffer lanes and a chair lift to support accessibility for users with reduced mobility.
The result is a revitalised, community-focused facility that supports both public use and the training and competitions of the local Blue Streaks swim team. The project was developed in collaboration with Water Technology Inc., ThenDesign Architecture, Mosser Construction, High-Tech Pools and Wallover Architects.
